Experience the Game

Grab a friend or two, or more, to sample a few of the questions you will find below and get a small taste of The Keep it Real Diverse Rx2 experience. The questions in Keep it Real Diverse Rx2 pave the way for illumination into the elemental truths of each individual while gently lifting prejudgments, fears and defensiveness. This game contains:

  • Exhilarating questions which surprise
  • Reflective questions which jog important memories
  • Outrageous questions which produce laughter
  • Eternal questions which probe us to contemplate deeply
  • Profound questions which challenge us to move beyond our limited experience
  • Evocative questions which move us to new understandings
  • Challenging questions which help us to grow
  • Consequential questions which make us more fully human
The conversations that the questions in The Keep it Real Diverse Rx2 game encourage have proven to provide moments that people remember forever.

INSTRUCTIONS

A player selects a question from below and reads the question out loud, answers first, then all players answer the same question. Please note there are several categories to choose from. There are no right or wrong answers. A player can express as much or as little as they are comfortable with. Even a few words are fine. The idea is to escape your comfort zone! Here are a few examples:

DIVERSE QUESTIONS
  1. If you could go to school in another country, where would you go? Why?
  2. Think of a religion different from your own. How would your life be different if you had been born into that religion?
  3. If an accident caused you to become wheelchair bound, how could your life be different?
  4. How do you feel when you see that the majority of the basketball and football players at your school are African American?
  5. Do you feel having an African American or Latino professor would enhance your college experience? Why or why not?
  6. How important was/is the diversity experience to your college experience?
  7. Why do you think seniors are discriminated against?
  8. You are putting together a diversity plan. Which would you value more-diversity of thought or diversity of background? Why?
  9. How would you feel if you found out your favorite professor is gay?
  10. Describe your collegiate experience in regards to how diverse your campus is.
  1. What other culture fascinates you? Why?
  2. If you could have been born anywhere in the world, where would it be? Why?
  3. What percentage of people do you think judge others by the color of their skin?
  4. What do you feel is a difference between men and women?
  5. How does being rich or poor make a person’s life different?
  6. Why do you think in so many cultures, men need to dominate women?
  7. What do you think of interracial dating and marriage?
  8. Do you believe there is more love or more hate in the world today? Why?

  1. If you could be any race, what race would you want to be? Why?
  2. If Martin Luther King Jr. were alive today, do you think things would be any different? Why or why not?
  3. If polygamy were legal, would you rather be monogamous or polygamous? Why?
  4. Think of a race different from your own. How would your life be different if you had been born into that race?
  5. What would be the ideal shape of nose you would like to have?
  6. Think of a religion different from your own. How would your life be different if you had been born into that religion?

  3. Do you ever feel like there is an invisible wall between you and the world? If so, how would you describe the wall?
  4. Do you consider yourself to be a judgmental person? Explain.
  5. Do you care more about how other people perceive you, or about how you feel about yourself? Explain.
  6. Do you feel like you belong here, or like you have to justify your existence? Explain.
  7. What type of person do you feel most intimidated by? Why?
  8. What type of person do you feel most comfortable with? Why?
  9. Do you compare yourself to others? If yes, how? If not, why not?
  10. Do you think you are able to own your own personal power? Explain.

  1. Tell us about two of the best attributes of your race, and two of the worst attributes of your race.
  2. Speak a few sentences in your favorite accent, and have everyone guess what accent it is.
  3. Describe the perfect human being.
  4. Describe your relationship to the police in your community.
  5. Describe your relationship with yourself with a sound, and/or a movement.
  6. Describe how you feel about your race with a sound, and/or a movement.
  7. Draw a picture of hate.
  8. Draw a picture of love.

  1. Draw a picture of what you think you would look like if you were the opposite sex.
  2. Make a promise to yourself about something important in your life.
  3. Lead a discussion on the meaning of life. Award a coin to the most persuasive point of view.
  4. Pretend you are the oldest living person on earth. Share with the other players your wisest words of wisdom.
  5. You are an alien. For 60 seconds express how you feel about your life in alien language and sounds.
  6. Pretend you are the President addressing the nation. Choose a topic and speak on that topic for 60 seconds.

  1. SAVIOR – Each player is God. Beginning with the person who chose this card, each player explain to the others why you are the best God, and what you have to offer to your believers.
  2. PERFECT WORLD – Together, create your perfect world. Beginning with the person who chose this card, all players, in turn, add an element to what your perfect world would be.
  3. TIES THAT DON’T BIND – Each player must select the person in the group they feel they have the least in common with and state why. The person selected must then state all the things they do have in common.
  4. SOUL SEARCH – Each player draws a picture of the state of your soul, and show it to the other players.
  5. LOVE AMERICAN STYLE – Americans hug their friends in greeting. Each player is to invent a greeting of their own, and demonstrate it to the other players. (For example – touching fingertips to say hello).
  6. ABSTRACT PAST – (60 seconds) All players draw an abstract picture of your past. Each player show your sketch to the other players.
